3 years agoI thought this maybe a good place to share our custom decks and summise the intent, strategy and synergy in a deep dive into our decks designs.
So to kick things off without further ado I'd like to introduce you all to the...
The passive agenda of Animal Kingdom means you can ideally eschew direct conflict with other players and focus on bringing out animals from your deck to bolster your characters.
With Tamaska as the Leader she'll (ideally) enable you to have 2 animals in play by the end of your first turn and another gangrel by her side. By the end of turn 2 you'll (ideally) have at least 3 animals in play, and hopefully 3 different animals at that to progress your agenda faster.
Whilst you could do nothing more than let the agenda accumilate turn after turn, you can also pursue mortals in the Streets to accelerate your plans and bolster your characters. Indeed, this can prove wise as your foes and rival will no doubt be keenly aware of your ploy in short order and likely attack before too long.
Cards like Backup, Mongrel and Unswayable Mind enable you to endure these attacks whilst your characters feast on Sewer Rats or make use of The Outskirts to heal from such encounters.
Through constant use of Feral Whispers you can recall more and more animals with which to heal and augment your characters.
Leah Swiftfoot is a major boon within your coterie as she can slip out, attack without impediment and retreat to the safety of The Outskirts.
Ealier Design Concepts
An earlier design saw Hardened Skin in the stead of Backup. Hardened Skin was replaced owing to the greater defense potential of Backup as characters gathered either animals or mortals under their sway. Likewise Feeding Frenzy was in the stead of Baseball Bat but the likelyhood of a character wounded and with fortitude was too hit or miss to justify it. The Baseball Bat offered more simplistic damage and with the potential to use it as a reaction too if desired. Finally Animal Dominion was in the stead of Unswayable Mind. Whilst this offered a fantastic offensive potential it left the characters too vunerable to attack. Unswayable Mind would only take 1 more character (with fortitude) to stand with Tamaska to negate some nasty prospects from social or mental attacks.

3 years agoThe Wise Madman strives to streamline and simplify the basic Malkavian Pre-Con Deck.
With less offensive intent, the defensive angle is bolstered by Premonition, Cloak Of Shadows and Insanity Defense. But you still (aptly) retain the ability to attack the mind of your foes and rival.
With the ability to deny your foes and rivals precious actions whilst gaining more time for yourself, your agenda should proceed apace...
